How I Fill In My Brows

If there's only one thing I can do before I leave my house it has to be my brows! I have very sparse brows so filling them in is a must! So if you would like to know how to fill in your brows if you also have sparse brows keep on reading!

So these are my brows before, as you can see I'm lacking in the brow department.

So what you'll need is an eyebrow powder. I actually use an eyeshadow I use macs mystery it the perfect color for me and it's not to warm! I hate brow powder that make your brows look reddish! Second you'll need an eyebrow pen I love stilas stay all day waterproof eyebrow pen and lastly you'll need an eyebrow gel to lock everything in lately I've been loving benefits gimme brow in medium dark.

What I do to start filling in my brows is outline the brow shape I want. This can be tricky. Just take your time to get it right.

After that is done I finish filling in the center. Now you can stop here if you like. I normally only use the powder if I'm rushed for time. But if you want your brows to stay all day and look as natural as possible them continue reading.

After filling in your brows with the powder use your pen to create hair like strokes. Have a light hand for this you don't want to press to hard and have the liquid run everywhere! And do over do this part just use it in places where you don't have many hairs and where you need to break up the one color of the powder.

Last step! Take your brow gel and run it through your brows to set everything!

Optional step! You can take a concealer and draw around your brows to make them look crisp and clean if you want. I personally don't like doing this. I rather a more natural look to my brows!

Today I just done a simple look using these products.

FOUNDATION
I'm trying out a new foundation and loving it so far. I can't believe I've never heard anything about it before! It's the hard candy just face it one step foundation. It's a very thick formula however it feels like you don't have anything on your face. Ill post a review when I'm finish testing it out.

CONCEALER
benefits erase paste and maybelline dream lumi under the eye and makeup forever full cover concealer on blemishes that the foundation didn't cover. These three are my go to everyday concealers.

PODWER
revlons nearly naked to set everything in place. Love the natural skin like finish this gives.

HIGHLIGHTER
nars albatross across my cheekbones just to give a glow and some life to my face since I didn't use blush or bronzer.

BROWS
mac mystery to fill them in, drew individual brow hairs on with stila stay all day brow pen then set everything in place with benefits gimme brow.

EYESHADOW
I used macs paint pot in painterly as a base then used urban decay naked basics palette in Venus, w.o.s. And naked 2 for a soft natural eye.

EYELINER

I used urban decay electric palette in the shade fringe along with some fix + from mac as eyeliner then smudged the outer v with the same color.

MASCARA
maybelline the rocket. For a natural look. Normally I use 2 or 3 mascaras or some false lashes.

LIPS
YSL rouge volupte #29

Here's the finished look

UD ELECTRIC

REVIEW: URBAN DECAY ELECTRIC PRESSED PIGMENT PALETTE

I just recently got my hands on the palette and I've been playing with it for the past couple days. All I can say is wow! It is amazing!

First of all the packaging is gorg! I'm going to pretend that's not the reason I was drawn to it but I can't lie, but when I swatched those colors I was blown away with the pigmentation and the smoothness that the pigments had! They are a dream to blend and work with, very buildable!

Here are the swatches I done of each color, there is no primer under these colors, just swatched over my skin. (Sorry about the messy swatches I'm not very good at that yet lol!)

Top (from left to right): Revolt, Gonzo, Slowburn, Savage, Fringe
Bottom (from left to right): Chaos, Jilted, Urban, Freak, Thrash

There is a warning on the back.
(Warning: Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban are not intended for use around the immediate eye area.)

While most people think this is an eyeshadow palette and are confused as to why 4/10 shades aren't intended for use around the eye area, all I have to say is that this is a pressed pigment palette and can be used for whatever your imagination can think over. I use this for eyeshadow, blush, patted over lipstick for a matte look, eyeliner, in your hair, etc. I'm loving Slowburn and savage as blushes but beware you need a VERY light hand or you'll look more like a clown!

I have very little negative comments on this palette, other then the fact that if you do not use primer on your eyes (or at least my eyes) the colors wear off in the crease after about 4 hours. But an eye primer is a must for me anyway! Other then that I think that if you love bright bold colors you won't be dissapointed, I 100% recommend this palette!

Products I Regret Buying!

These are my top 10 products that I regret buying! In no perticular order.

1.
Wet n wild color icon in reserve your cabana. This is suppose to be a bronzer but even on me this looks more like a highlighter. I'm not complaining about that because I love me some highlighters! But the pigmentation is horrible. Hardly any color payoff and I need to use so much to get even a glow then I look like a cake face. Sorry wet n wild I love your lipsticks and blushes but this just did not do it for me.

2.
I know everyone loves this and I did try it and loved it BUT it's soo dark! Why is there's only a limited shade range (I think only one or two shades!)

3.
Sorry garnier this also didn't do it for me. The color selection isn't good. This is to dark but is workable because of its sheerness but this is the only product I have ever tried that has broke me out. And not just once I have tried this multiple times hoping it was something else but nope every time I wear it I get the worst breakouts :(

4.
The only reason this made the list is because of its crazy high price along with the fact that I simply don't use it enough to justify the price. Yes it's good but would I rater have my $80 back instead of this? Yes!

5.
Again with the crappy color range. I truly think this foundation would be lovely if it had a color that suited me. The only reason I haven't thrown this out is because I'm hoping I get extra tan this summer so then I can make use of this. This also has shimmer in it so if you don't like visible shimmer this ones not for you.

6.
My first and last covergirl lipstick. Not thinking about the aweful color right now but the lipstick Itself smudged so easy and faded in no time! Now the color on the other hand is horrible! It's soo metallic it accents every line just don't do it!

7.
The maybelline master due eye studio liquid liner. I was so excited to get this I thought the color would be vibrant and perfect for that pop of color liner but it was so disapointing it was watery streaky  and the color was nothing like the sticker, it certainly wasn't glossy and deffinatly was not a glossy teal!

8.
I was really thinking I was going to love this because their other products I've tried are very lovely, however this just didn't do it for me. The coverage wasn't there and it felt kind of slippery on my skin. It creased almost immediately after application.

9.
I bought this because it looked similar to my beloved Bobbie brown shimmer bricks so I decided to give it a go. It is nothing like the shimmer bricks it's chalky and has chunky glitter particles not finely milled shimmer. It doesn't give a nice glow to your skin, it just looks very cheap. Not worth even worth $1 and I paid almost $12!

10.
This may come as a shock to some people because I know a lot of people who love this. It's not a bad palette it's just that I never reach for it. It's one of those palettes that just doesn't have that wow factor to it that would make me reach for it often. I do use it and I do like the looks but I also think the more colorful shades all look the same on the eye when blended. They kind of all blend into a darken blackish shade unless it's put over a base of that color.

Product Review

Today I decided to review some concealers that I have recently purchased. I know they have a lot of hype around them on Instagram but incase you haven't heard of them then they are the L.A. Girl Pro conceal HD concealer. And this is what these guys look like.

The five shades that I picked up, as you can see above are classic ivory, warm sand, medium beige, toffee an dark coca.

So first ill just take about the shades. Classic ivory is very pink toned so it would be perfect for those with a very pink undertone but for everybody else you can certainly use it as an undereye corrector. That's the way I use it and it covers very well. (Maybe not as well as erase paste or Bobbie brown corrector, but for only $1.99 a piece you can't really go wrong!) The shade warm sand I find to pink and to dark for me to use but person of darker skin time can use this the way I use classic ivory. Medium beige and toffe look different in the tube but when swatched (photo below) they look very similar. I use these for cream contouring but people of a darker skin tone can use this as a concealer for blemishes because these do have a decent amount of coverage. And lastly is dark cocoa. This is way to dark for me to use, even to contour but again people of a darker skin tone them me can use this as a cream contour.

As for the shade range they do have a fairly good selection for a drugstore brand however I couldn't find a shade that I could use for concealing blemishes. The lightest shades were too pink.

The texture of these are very nice and creamy and pigmentated and they will last all day! Can't stress how long they last! You can somewhat tell from the picture below that these do not come off easy! After about 3 minutes I tried to wash these off with soap and water and this was the result!

The one bad thing I have to say about these and really it's only one shade I'm referring to (I don't know if I have a faulty one or not) it leaks a lot of clear fluid and sometimes it sprays out while I'm trying to squeeze the product out. Which make a complete mess.

As you can clearly see in the photo above that there is clearly some clear fluid leaking and that the product sprayed  onto the surrounding area. What you can't see is the amount of liquid that came out it shocked me. This seams to happen whenever I go to open this one. I shake before use but same result.

Other then the leakage these products seem well worth their small price tag. How can you pass up $1.99 products that are actually good?!
